Mimosa (Acacia)

I actually thought it came from Italy, but when I found out that it originates from Australia, it confirmed why I felt so drawn to it. Growing up in Italy, we had a mimosa tree in our backyard and the smell and colour was magical for me as a child. At 10 years old my family moved to Australia from Southern Italy. Symbolically, this flower was somehow preparing me for the change before I even knew it ... so when I see Acacia Mimosa in Australia I am thankful for what this land has gifted me in my journey and also cherish my roots as an Italian ... the plant/flower adapted as I have.
